Over the course of my practice, I’ve learned how central sexuality – sex, love, intimacy, connection – is to overall quality of life, and yet how undervalued and neglected it remains in our medicalized mental healthcare system. We live in a world that is moving too fast. And with an ever-growing reliance on technology and social media, people are going through life feeling disconnected from their bodies and each other. The result is rampant loneliness, trauma survivors remain suffering in silence, a decline in sexual connection among young adults, rising struggles with porn and sexual compulsions, ongoing marginalization of people for who they are or who they love, and more. These are not just personal struggles; they are systemic wounds in need of healing.

With all of this in mind, I founded Eros to address the urgent need for care that recognizes that mental health and sexual health are inextricably linked. The name “Eros” comes from the Greek word for erotic energy, the life force behind desire, intimacy, and vitality. At Eros, the erotic is treated as sacred and essential, a pathway to wholeness that integrates mind, body, and sexuality. Here, sexual healing is not simply about having better sex; it is about reclaiming your capacity to feel, to connect, and to thrive. By working at this deeper level, psychosexual healing becomes a means of self-actualization, helping us embrace who we are and become more than we thought possible for ourselves and others. In doing so, I aim not only to heal individuals but to create a culture where sexual health and wellness is recognized as vital to our individual and collective wellbeing.

I look forward to helping you heal and cultivate a rich and fulfilling life of sex, love, and pleasure.

About Dr. Champion

I have over 10 years of experience working in the fields of mental health and sexology. I received my medical degree from LSU Medical School of New Orleans and completed my psychiatry residency training at the University of Arizona in Tucson. While in my last two years of residency, I worked in the University of Arizona Integrative Psychiatry Clinic and completed the IPI’s Integrative Psychiatry Certificate Program. In this time, I also received training in CBT, Mentalization-Based therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and group & couples therapy.

After completing my medical training, I have worked at a premier residential treatment center treating patients in need of acute care for mood, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, and compulsive sexual behaviors (“sex addiction”). I have also served as a ketamine treatment provider and received training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for Major Depressive Disorder and Depression with comorbid Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I pursued specialized training in somatic sex therapy. This training involved course work offered through the Modern Sex Therapy Institute, as well as supervised training in sex therapy, and trauma therapy training through Somatic Experiencing International (SEI). Additionally, I have participated in advanced workshops on modern tantra and sexological bodywork.

I also obtained my certification as a massage therapist from Crestone Healing Arts in Crestone, CO and practiced massage therapy between medical school and residency training. This is where my passion and deep respect for the mind-body connection comes from.
